125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE METHODIST CHURCH IN COSBY.

9 October 2011. We were very pleased to welcome many former members of the church to our anniversary service, led by Rev. Alun Burke. After the service we celebrated with a buffet lunch, giving people the cahnce to catch up after many years. The afternoon finished with the choir of Cosby Primary School singing some songs and playing recorders, as well as Harriet singing Mozart's Ave Verum. A big thankyou to the staff and choir of the school for their contribution.

Special services for the year
We were very happy to present Keith Gimson with a certificate celebrating and thanking him for playing the organ for us for 60 years.

Joyce Maneggio has created a beautiful banner for the Sunday School, which now hangs in the children's corner of the church. She also made bookmarks which were presented to the congregation to remember this celebration.
Pearl Cooper decorated our anniversary cake.
Many were pleased to see the cloth the had signed for the 100th anniversary in 1986. Thank you to Joyce for preserving the signatures with embroidary.
Many pictures were taken, and will be added here if sent to Alison Deacon. By clicking on all pictures on this page, you will see them at a better size. Please contact us, if you would like a high quality picture.
